Sooo yeah my first submission of the year. Trying to get myself back in the groove. Anyway here's Deborah the bastard clone of Ash. Read. It. Now.

Deborah
The Devil’s Double (Really a name I just came up with. He really has no title.)

Short tempered, slightly sadistic, and always with a chip on his shoulder, Deborah is both incomplete and spiteful because of it. Deborah is a clone of Ash Ketchum created by Battaglia as a buffer against the Crimsons. However during the process Morte ordered that the process of implementing selective genes on him to eradicate the soft hearted nature that the Ketchums are programmed with to make a being that won’t hesitate to battle. This worked but there was a price. Because some of his genes, specifically the ones that programmed the Ketchums’ gentle nature, were eliminated and/or spliced his powers over the Eternal Flame had weakened drastically. Despite this Deborah developed into the fighter that Morte had hoped for and all he needed was power and Morte knew just how to get him up to par.

To compensate for the decrease in power control, Morte had his mage create a special Spell Talisman that would link with Deborah’s Eternal Flame to bring it out fully. To create this Deborah was linked right to the talisman as it was created so that it was attuned to his specific powers. The result was the Spell Talisman Fire Commandment Flame Emperor. The Flame Emperor basically pulls out Deborah’s latent powers to their maximum and gives it shape. The Flame Emperor has two forms (as shown in the picture above) one for offense and one for defense. The offensive form (on the right) takes shape as a veil of flame that form around Deborah in the shape of a Zangoose. This is due to his genetic match to Ash that his power manifests in this way. However because Deborah cannot produce claws the veil forms them and despite being created from flames they are very solid. The defensive form (on the left) takes the form of a golem made up of magma and fire and it takes the shape of a large demonic and feral Zangoose. Most people associate Deborah’s power with this form as it the form that he uses in gym matches but despite its appearance it really is meant for defense. It works by taking all attacks into itself and either absorbing it or incinerating it. This form is also immune to any fire based assault and will instead absorb it and grow stronger and larger.

Deborah himself is a very adept fighter when he truly fights with all he has. His fighting style relies on speed and keeping the opponent off balanced. To do this he uses his Pokemon in conjunction with his own tactics. The two cover each other’s blind spots and uses various methods to keep his opponent confused. The weakness to this is that it relies on the Pokemon partner to be nearly flawless. Take out the Pokemon partner and Deborah’s blind spots will be exposed and can be exploited. A calm mind is also needed so that one won’t be as affected by the confusing tactics and proper use of the environment will further reinforce this.
